Winners announced at the inaugural British Indian Awards 2013

The winners of the British Indian Awards presented by accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP, were announced on the 17th May 2013, at the prestigious ceremony at the St. Johns Hotel in Birmingham.
The evening honoured the success and achievements of Britain’s Indian individuals, groups and business people. The night was one of recognition and celebration, which highlighted the significant role Indian’s play in contributing to a better Great Britain.

Over 400 people attended the glamorous event, including hosts, Sunny and Shay, from the Bafta nominated Channel 4’s ‘The Family’, who now present their own show for BBC London 94.9fm. The entertainment of the evening was provided by the talented Desi Nach.

 “We have some truly inspirational individuals who are proud to be Indian and British and the Awards were a great platform to recognise their efforts and achievements. It was a fantastic evening and I would like to thank everyone for attending and a big thank you to our sponsors. Congratulations to all our winner and finalists, and I hope to see you next year!” commented Amit Arora, Business Development Director of event organizers Oceanic Consulting.
As well as recognising the achievements of Indian men and women at the forefront of their communities and industries, the event also raised money for the official charity partners Pratham UK.
