“Try not to become a man of success, but a man of values”
Albert Einstein

Today I have found a man who is both successful and of great value.
A man who has set an example with his endless display of determination, courage and compassion!

Mr. Shahid SheikhManaging Director of Clifton Packaging Group Ltd.  with an annual turnover of £10million and countless business awards, including UK Packaging Awards 2011, Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2008 and 2010, HSBC Business of the Year award 2012, Lloyds TSB Central Jewel Awards 2008, to name just a few,  we cannot doubt Mr. Shahid Sheikh as an entrepreneur amongst entrepreneurs.
Background
In 1972, at the age of 4 Mr. Sheikh and his family were amongst 80,000 Indian/Pakistanis expelled from Uganda by President Idi Amin.  Stripped of all wealth and assets, Mr. Sheikh’s family were given 90 days in which to leave Uganda.  The family entered Britain – penniless.
During the 80’s & 90’s all we knew was that we had to work, work hard to do well as it was not a matter of sacrifice, but more a matter of survival. Today we are reaping the rewards of our lost youth but are extremely happy that we are now in a position to help others and also contribute socially and economically to this wonderful Country which had taken us in at our time of need.
Entrepreneur & Community
Clifton Packaging Ltd. was set up in 1981 and has grown to become one of the world’s leading producers of flexible packaging for the food industry.  Through sheer hard work and determination the Sheikh Family has established an internationally renowned company striving to contribute to the local economy,  just one example is his fortitude to create jobs regardless of the wider economic climate.
Just like his flair for hard work, his support for Britain and the local communities is boundless.  Mr. Sheikh takes great pride as the First Cultural Ambassador and Board Director to Leicestershire County Cricket Club and has had posts as Chairman of the Leicester DeMonfort Roundtable for 2008/9 and also Chairman of the Institute of Directors 2009/12 - to once again name just a few -following on from his years of support.

It would take up an entire blog to list the achievements and contributions of Mr. Shahid Sheikh, so I ask that you visit  www.shahidsheikh.co.uk, to discover for yourself.

A final note – hats off to Mr. Shahid Sheikh I feel as though it may as well be SirShahid Sheikh for his contributions and support.  An Asian Britain should be very very proud of!

“Aspire to Inspire before we Expire” To all from Mr Shahid Sheikh
