RIFCO ARTS & WATFORD PALACE THEATRE PRESENT
A NEW DANCE DRAMA
Touring May & June 2013
From the award-winning producers that brought you the 2011 smash hit musical 'Britain's Got Bhangra', Rifco Arts and Watford Palace Theatre present 'Break The Floorboards' - a new dance drama.
All Zain wants to do is dance, but his family, the local fascists and his two left feet are getting in the way. Fusing the captivating dance styles of Bollywood and Street, this is the tale of one young boy's attempts to escape the grim reality of his recession-hit hometown and turn his life into the glittering world of his Bollywood fantasies.
Written by Yasmeen Khan, journalist and writer of ‘Don't You Know Who I Am?’, advisor to BBC EastEnders’ Masood family storylines and regular on BBC Radio. Directed by Pravesh Kumar, Artistic Director of Rifco Arts and the talent behind numerous hit shows including ‘There’s Something About Simmy’ and ‘The Deranged Marriage’. Choreographed by Andy Kumar, Rifco Arts Creative Associate and Bollywood Choreographer.
Rifco Arts have presented theatre-goers with hit shows such as ‘The Deranged Marriage’, ‘There’s Something About Simmy’, ‘Where’s My Desi Soulmate?’ and ‘It Ain’t All Bollywood’; now they bring you a new electric feel-good show where Bollywood and Street Dance collide on stage.
